ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES (Spain) ‘Continual Spatial Tracing - Ariadne’s Thread’ This is the first time ILUMINADA’s geometric work will be seen in the UK. During her residency at Gasworks she has produced new works inspired by the "Sleeping Ariadne" sculpture in the Museo del Prado, in Madrid. "I discovered that the harmony she invoked fitted perfectly a geometrical and mathematical pattern, which now guides me through my way of working". ILUMINADA seeks to achieve harmony through the expression of the moment, constituted by line-space-time, within proportional mathematic relationships between structures. ILUMINADA GARCIA-TORRES (Spain) ‘Trazado Espacial Continuo - El hilo de Ariadna’ Esta es la primera vez que la obra geométrica de ILUMINADA se exhibe en el Reino Unido. Durante su residencia en Gasworks, ha producido nuevas obras inspiradas en la escultura de "Ariadna dormida" del Museo del Prado, en Madrid. "Descubrí que la armonía que ella invocaba encajaba perfectamente con un patrón geométrico y matemático, que ahora guía mi geométrica forma de trabajar". ILUMINADA busca alcanzar la armonía a través de la expresión del momento, constituido por línea-espacio-tiempo, dentro de relaciones matemáticas proporcionales con las estructuras.
